Superior Manufacturing Solutions

Superior Manufacturing Solutions is a business conceived at the intersection of a growing boat shop, an uncertain medical device manufacturer, and a 25,000 square foot cold war era military building.  Co-owner Chad Lewis had long dreamed of a place where you could get anything manufactured, but knew it would be a business that relied heavily on quality employees.  He also knew he would need the right building and that it would all need to come together at the same time.  In early 2017, the building came in the form of the old civil engineering building at KI Sawyer AFB.  It was the perfect place to house Chad's growing boat building and restoration business, Ensign Spars.  Around the same time, co-owner and great friend of Chad's, Zeb Seaborg, and a small group of machinists were deciding if they wanted to continue working for a medical device manufacturer, or go out on their own.  While standing over a boat trailer that Zeb's guys were building for Chad, they realized all of the resources they needed for a "we can build anything" manufacturing business, were right in front of them.
